Welcome to Takchu Travels! By booking a tour with us, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which constitute the agreement between you (the traveler) and Takchu Travels (the Bhutan travel agency). Please read these terms carefully before making your booking.

1. Booking and Confirmation:

  • All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Takchu Travels.

  • A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified in our Price Policy.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided during the booking process, including your name as it appears on your passport, date of birth, nationality, and any special requests, is accurate and complete. Any discrepancies may lead to issues with your travel arrangements.

2. Payments:

  • Payment terms, including deposit amounts and final payment deadlines, are outlined in our Price Policy.

  • Failure to make the final payment by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of any deposits paid.

3. Visa and Passport:

  • It is your sole responsibility to ensure that you possess a valid passport with at least six months of validity beyond your intended stay in Bhutan and any necessary visas, permits, and other travel documents required for entry into Bhutan.

  • Takchu Travels can assist with the Bhutan visa application process as per the regulations of the Tourism Council of Bhutan. You will be required to provide necessary documents, including a scanned copy of your passport and a passport-sized photograph.

  • Visa fees are typically included in our tour cost, as detailed in our Price Policy. However, please note that once a visa is applied for, it may be non-refundable.

4. Travel Insurance:

  • We strongly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, loss of baggage, and other unforeseen circumstances. While medical facilities in Bhutan are generally free, travel insurance provides crucial protection for unexpected events.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance coverage is adequate for your needs and the activities you will be undertaking during your trip.

5. Health and Safety:

  • It is your responsibility to consult with your physician regarding any necessary vaccinations or health precautions for travel to Bhutan.

  • You agree to abide by all local laws and customs of Bhutan and to follow the instructions of our guides and representatives to ensure your safety and the well-being of others.

  • Takchu Travels is committed to your safety but cannot be held liable for any illness, injury, accident, or loss that may occur during your trip due to factors beyond our direct control.

6. Itinerary Changes:

  • While we strive to adhere to the planned itineraries, Takchu Travels reserves the right to make reasonable changes or adjustments to the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions, road closures, flight delays, or other factors beyond our control.

  • We will make every effort to inform you of any significant changes as soon as possible.

7. Client Responsibility:

  • You are responsible for your own personal belongings and travel documents.

  • You are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner towards the local culture, environment, and other travelers.

  • Any damage caused by you to hotel property, transportation, or other facilities will be your responsibility to pay for.

8. Limitation of Liability:

  • Takchu Travels acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, transportation providers, and other service providers involved in your tour. We are not liable for any acts, omissions, negligence, or defaults of these independent suppliers, nor for any injury, loss, or damage arising from circumstances beyond our direct control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, civil unrest, strikes, or natural disasters.

9. Intellectual Property:

  • All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and itineraries, is the property of Takchu Travels and is protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute our content without our prior written consent.

10. Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bhutan. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bhutan.
