
Cancellation Policy
Thank you for choosing Takchu Travels for your journey to Bhutan. We understand that travel plans can sometimes change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our travelers and our operations. Please read the following policy carefully:
1. Cancellation by the Traveler:
All cancellations must be communicated to Takchu Travels in writing via email. The date of receipt of your written cancellation will determine the applicable cancellation charges.
The following cancellation charges will apply based on the number of days prior to your scheduled arrival date in Bhutan:
45 days or more: Full refund of the tour cost, less a administrative fee to cover booking and processing costs. Please note that bank transfer fees may also apply and will be deducted from the refund.
30-44 days: of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
21-29 days: of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
15-20 days: of the total tour cost will be charged as a cancellation fee.
Less than 15 days or no-show: 100% of the total tour cost will be non-refundable.
2. Cancellation of Flights:
Cancellation policies for flights are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective airlines.
Takchu Travels will assist you with flight bookings upon request but is not responsible for airline cancellation fees or policies.
Any administrative fees charged by Takchu Travels for assisting with flight cancellations will be communicated to you at the time of cancellation.
3. No Refunds After Arrival:
No refunds will be provided for any unused portion of the tour or services after your arrival in Bhutan, including but not limited to accommodation, meals, sightseeing, or transportation, due to late arrival, early departure, or any other reason.
4. Cancellation by Takchu Travels:
While it is rare, Takchu Travels reserves the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events that make it impossible or unsafe to operate the tour.
In the event of a cancellation by Takchu Travels, you will be offered the option of:
Postponing your tour to a future date (subject to availability and any applicable price adjustments).
Receiving a full refund of all payments made to Takchu Travels for the tour. Please note that refunds will not include any costs incurred by you for flights or other travel arrangements made independently.
5. Special Considerations:
Please note that certain tours or packages may have specific cancellation policies that differ from the standard policy outlined above. Any such exceptions will be clearly communicated to you at the time of booking.
For cancellations related to medical reasons, we recommend that you claim through your travel insurance provider.
By confirming your booking with Takchu Travels, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Cancellation Policy.
